Presentation of the UN Financing report 2025 – Managing unprecedented times

The UN Multi-Partner Trust Fund Office (MPTFO), in partnership with the Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation, is pleased to announce the 2025 release and NY launch event of ‘Financing the UN Development System: Managing Unprecedented Times.’ The 11th edition in the ‘Financing’ series, the report offers a comprehensive overview of financial trends and flows across the UN system.

The analysis shows a decline in UN system funding between 2022 and 2023, with this trend persisting in preliminary data for 2024, even as needs and demands on the UN system increase. This dynamic is set against a decline in official development assistance in 2024, likely to continue into 2025. The task now is to turn the current moment’s challenges into opportunities.
