The FAO Liaison Office in Geneva and FAO Statistics Division (ESS) cordially invite you to join the launch of "Tracking progress on food and agriculture-related SDG indicators 2025" report.

Five years before the deadline for achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, there is an urgent need to understand where the world stands in eliminating hunger and food insecurity, as well as in ensuring sustainable agriculture. The new report of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), titled "Tracking progress on food and agriculture-related SDG indicators", provides a statistical overview of progress made around the world towards the SDG targets related to food and agriculture.

With the participation of the FAO Chief Statistician and Director of the Statistics Division, José Rosero Moncayo, the high-level event will present the main findings of the report, as well as policy recommendations to harness the power of data to achieve Zero Hunger and accelerate food systems transformation.

The event will bring together FAO Members, UN bodies, partners and selected media outlets. Organized in the context of the Tenth anniversary of the Sustainable Development Goals and the Eightieth anniversary of FAO, it is an essential contribution to the ongoing efforts to renew commitment to invest in better data and statistics to inform evidence-based policies for people and the planet. The report will be published in six languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish) at the following link: https://www.fao.org/sustainable-development-goals-data-portal/resources/analytical-reports/en
