Las NDC 3.0 son planes climáticos actualizados que los países Parte del Acuerdo de París deben presentar en 2025, basados en los resultados del primer Balance Mundial. Estas contribuciones deben reflejar una mayor ambición y medidas concretas para reducir las emisiones, en línea con el objetivo de limitar el calentamiento global a 1.5 grados. El Balance Mundial destacó la necesidad urgente de intensificar la acción climática, ya que los esfuerzos actuales no son suficientes para alcanzar las metas globales. En este contexto, la Alianza de Marrakech para la Acción Climática Global cumple un papel clave al promover la colaboración entre actores gubernamentales y no gubernamentales como ciudades, empresas, inversionistas y sociedad civil para acelerar la acción climática y elevar la ambición.

Este seminario web abordará cómo los resultados del Balance Mundial subrayan la importancia de fortalecer la colaboración entre múltiples actores, en especial el rol del sector privado en el desarrollo y la implementación de las NDC 3.0. También se discutirá la creación de entornos habilitantes que favorezcan la participación de actores no gubernamentales a nivel regional, nacional y local, y se promoverá el uso del Portal de Acción Climática Global como herramienta de transparencia para registrar y dar seguimiento a compromisos climáticos voluntarios, alineados con los objetivos del Acuerdo de París.

¡Importante! Las categorías de Organizaciones intergubernamentales (OIG) y Organizaciones no gubernamentales (ONG) deben ser utilizadas únicamente por representantes de OIG y ONG que cuenten con estatus de observador ante la CMNUCC (ver: lista de ONG admitidas, lista de OIG admitidas). En caso de que su ONG u OIG no sea observadora, seleccione la categoría "Other".

¿Recibiré una confirmación de mi registro?

The NDC 3.0 are updated national climate plans that Parties to the Paris Agreement must submit in 2025, building on the outcomes of the first Global Stocktake (GST). These contributions are expected to show greater ambition and concrete measures to reduce emissions in line with the 1.5°C goal. The GST underscored the urgent need for more ambitious action, as current efforts remain insufficient to meet global climate targets. In this context, the Marrakech Partnership for Global Climate Action (MPGCA) plays a key role in fostering collaboration between Party and Non-party stakeholder to accelerate climate efforts and promote higher ambition.

This webinar will explore how the GST outcomes highlight the need for stronger multi-actor collaboration, especially involving non-Party stakeholders (NPS) like the private sector, in shaping and implementing NDC 3.0. It will also discuss enabling environments that support NPS engagement at all levels, and promote the Global Climate Action Portal (NAZCA) as a transparency tool to track and strengthen voluntary climate commitments aligned with the Paris Agreement.

How to register?

What should I select in the "Representation" section? 

In the registration form, you will be asked to indicate the type of the organization that you represent, selecting from the following drop-down list: 

• Parties (for representatives of the Parties to UNFCCC)

• United Nations Secretariat units and bodies

• Specialized agencies and related organizations

• Intergovernmental organizations (IGOs)

• Non-governmental organizations (NGOs)

Then, you will have to indicate the name of your organization/Party. 

Important! The Intergovernmental organizations (IGOs) and Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) categories should only be used by representatives of NGOs and IGOs that have observer status with UNFCCC (see: list of admitted NGOs, list of admitted IGOs). In case your NGO or IGO is not an observer, please select the "Other" category. 

Will I receive a confirmation of my registration?  

Once you have completed the registration, you will receive an email notification confirming that you have registered for this event. Subsequently, you will be notified that your registration has been approved by the secretariat. 

How do I receive the link to join the event online?
