Los Planes Nacionales de Adaptación (NAP) sirven de vehículo para que los países puedan abordar sus necesidades de adaptación al cambio climático a mediano y largo plazo. A medida que se pasa de la planificación a la implementación, los sistemas de Monitoreo, Evaluación y Aprendizaje (MEL) se vuelven esenciales para hacer seguimiento del progreso, evaluar el impacto y mejorar las acciones.

El informe de progreso 2024 brinda aprendizajes y experiencias sobre los sistemas MEL. En América Latina, los países están avanzando, pero enfrentan desafíos comunes como la falta de datos, la coordinación intersectorial y la capacidad limitada. Para apoyar estos esfuerzos, un seminario web regional reunirá a expertos y representantes nacionales para fortalecer capacidades en MEL y fomentar la colaboración regional.

¿Cómo registrarse?
Para registrarse en este evento, haga clic en el botón "Register now" que aparece a continuación.

En caso de que sea la primera vez que utiliza INDICO para registrarse en eventos de la ONU, se le pedirá que cree una cuenta. ¿Qué debo seleccionar en la sección "Representation"?
En el formulario de registro, se le pedirá que indique el tipo de organización a la que representa, seleccionando una opción del siguiente menú desplegable:

• Partes (para representantes de las Partes de la CMNUCC)

• Unidades y órganos de la Secretaría de las Naciones Unidas

• Organismos especializados y organizaciones relacionadas

• Organizaciones intergubernamentales (OIG)

• Organizaciones no gubernamentales (ONG)

• Medios de comunicación

• Otro

Luego, deberá indicar el nombre de su organización o Parte.

¡Importante! Las categorías de Organizaciones intergubernamentales (OIG) y Organizaciones no gubernamentales (ONG) deben ser utilizadas únicamente por representantes de OIG y ONG que cuenten con estatus de observador ante la CMNUCC (ver: lista de ONG admitidas, lista de OIG admitidas). En caso de que su ONG u OIG no sea observadora, seleccione la categoría "Other".

¿Recibiré una confirmación de mi registro?
Una vez que haya completado el registro, recibirá una notificación por correo electrónico confirmando que se ha registrado para este evento. Posteriormente, será notificado(a) una vez que la secretaría haya aprobado su registro.

National Adaptation Plans (NAPs) work as a vehicle to help countries address medium- and long-term climate adaptation needs. As countries move from planning to implementation, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) systems become essential to track progress, assess impact, and improve actions. There is increasing emphasis on aligning national efforts with global goals like the Global Goal on Adaptation (GGA).

In Latin America, countries are making progress but face common challenges, such as data gaps, coordination issues, and limited capacity. To support these efforts, a regional webinar will bring together experts and country representatives to enhance MEL capacities and foster regional collaboration.

How to register?

To register for this event, click on the "Register now" button below. 

In case this is your first time using INDICO for registering for UN events, you will be required to create an account. You will be able to use this account to speed up your registration process in the future. For detailed instructions on how to create an account, please refer to the manual in the attachments.

What should I select in the "Representation" section? 

In the registration form, you will be asked to indicate the type of the organization that you represent, selecting from the following drop-down list: 

• Parties (for representatives of the Parties to UNFCCC)

• United Nations Secretariat units and bodies

• Specialized agencies and related organizations

• Intergovernmental organizations (IGOs)

• Non-governmental organizations (NGOs)

• Media 

• Other

Then, you will have to indicate the name of your organization/Party. 

Important! The Intergovernmental organizations (IGOs) and Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) categories should only be used by representatives of NGOs and IGOs that have observer status with UNFCCC (see: list of admitted NGOs, list of admitted IGOs). In case your NGO or IGO is not an observer, please select the "Other" category. 

Will I receive a confirmation of my registration?  

Once you have completed the registration, you will receive an email notification confirming that you have registered for this event. Subsequently, you will be notified that your registration has been approved by the secretariat. 

How do I receive the link to join the event online? 

The link to join the event will be included in the registration confirmation email.
