The objective of this learning event comprises two interrelated aspects: on one side to showcase SALIENT remarkable achievements in the pilot countries and promote the advantages of the programmatic and comprehensive approach to SALW control and armed violence reduction to achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. And on the other one, to emphasize the importance of increased and sustained financing to SALIENT so as to ensure greater and sustainable impact of small arms and light weapons control and armed violence prevention.
