Background:
Countries and their communities affected by conflict and severe humanitarian needs are among the most vulnerable to climate change, yet they face some of the highest barriers to accessing climate finance.
To support this effort, under the NBF Project the secretariat in collaboration with the g7+ Secretariat (also representing the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA) and the Overseas Development Institute (ODI)), and the World Food Programme (WFP), is facilitating support for five countries: Chad, Papua New Guinea, the Republic of South Sudan, Timor-Leste and Yemen. This NBF activity aims to help these countries develop tailored strategies to access the climate finance they need to build resilience and adapt to the growing impacts of climate change.
