CMA 5 adopted the UAE Framework for Global Climate Resilience, which includes seven thematic and four-dimensional targets. It also launched a two-year UAE–Belém work programme on indicators for measuring progress achieved towards the targets referred to in paragraphs 9–10 of decision 2/CMA.5. The subsidiary bodies (SBs) at their sixtieth sessions further elaborated on the modalities of the work programme. This included mandates for technical work led by experts convened by the Chairs of Subsidiary Bodies, as well as for the convening of workshops and preparation of related outputs.
The workshop is being organized pursuant to conclusions of the Subsidiary Bodies at its sixtieth sessions on the global goal on adaptation, under which the Chairs of the Subsidiary Bodies were requested, with the support of the secretariat, to organize a hybrid workshop under the work programme between SB 62 and 63.
Workshop Dates: 3-4 October 2025
