DESCRIPTION:\nWelcome to the 59th Session of the IOC Executive Council\nBi
 envenue à la 59ème session du Conseil exécutif de la COI \n \nThe IOC
  Executive Council\, consisting of 40 Member States\, meets immediately be
 fore the opening of each ordinary session of the Assembly. At that session
 \, it acts as the Steering Committee. One of these functions is to make pr
 oposals to the Assembly on the composition of the Nominations Committee an
 d the Resolutions Committee and recommend supplementary items if any to th
 e Assembly.   \nThe Session will be held at UNESCO Headquarters from 30 
 June to 3 July 2026 and will be preceded by the meeting of the Officers on
