Welcome to the 59th Session of the IOC Executive Council

Bienvenue à la 59ème session du Conseil exécutif de la COI

The IOC Executive Council, consisting of 40 Member States, meets immediately before the opening of each ordinary session of the Assembly. At that session, it acts as the Steering Committee. One of these functions is to make proposals to the Assembly on the composition of the Nominations Committee and the Resolutions Committee and recommend supplementary items if any to the Assembly.

The Session will be held at UNESCO Headquarters from 30 June to 3 July 2026 and will be preceded by the meeting of the Officers on Monday 29 June 2026. Please refer to the dedicated webpage for the session for more information:

The session welcomes observers within the limits of the room's capacity, bearing in mind that priority is given to EC Member States.
