The five-day Training Course on Child Protection for the United Nations Military is organized by the Child Protection Team in the UN Department of Peace Operations and funded by the Government of Norway. The course aims to disseminate the Reinforcement Training Package on Child Protection for the United Nations Military (2023) to Member State training institutions, military trainers from troop-contributing countries, and Military Child Protection, Gender or Protection Advisers or Focal Points from UN peacekeeping operations. The course will enhance the capacity of military personnel in UN peacekeeping operations to protect children affected by armed conflict.
