The UNESCO-Al Fozan International Prize for the Promotion of Young Scientists in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) aims to boost research, education, and global cooperation to tackle challenges aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Established by UNESCO in 2021 in partnership with the Al–Fozan Foundation in Saudi Arabia, the Prize recognises young innovators whose work drives global socio-economic progress, while encouraging interest in science, particularly among women and girls, to foster gender equality and promote scientific careers.
For the second edition of this biennial prize, five outstanding young scientists will be honoured at a ceremony to be held on 19 September 2025 at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.
