The Decision 5/CP.17 provided guidance to support developing countries, especially LDCs, in preparing and implementing National Adaptation Plans (NAPs). However, twelve countries in West and Central Africa have yet to submit their NAPs, largely due to persistent challenges such as limited funding, technical capacity gaps, and weak South–South cooperation. To meet the 2025 deadline, enhanced regional collaboration and peer learning are essential. In response, the UNFCCC Regional Collaboration Centre for West and Central Africa, in partnership with the NAP Global Network, is organizing a webinar to showcase best practices in NAP formulation and implementation. The event will serve as a platform for technical exchange, capacity building, and strengthened coordination on adaptation across the region.
