The specific objectives of the meeting are:
- to provide feedback on background documents that summarize the definitions of preeclampsia used in current global clinical practice guidelines and on the evidence supporting these as well as a review of the diagnostic accuracy of diagnostic tools
- to discuss country perspectives on the components of the different definitions and on the availability and use of these elements at the country level and the feasibility of incorporating new ones.
- to determine additional information needed to reach consensus on a global definition of preeclampsia;
- to identify key implementation opportunities and challenges for strengthening preeclampsia diagnosis and next steps for implementation.
