This event, organised by UNESCO, the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Korea to UNESCO, and Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI), marks the high-level launch of a multi-year collaboration between UNESCO and KISTI.

This partnership focuses on promoting inclusive and sustainable Open Science through Open Data, Diamond Open Access, and Software Heritage

The event will include opening remarks by senior representatives from UNESCO and the Republic of Korea, followed by an expert panel discussion on Open Science infrastructures, Open Data, Diamond Open Access, and Software Heritage.

A welcome coffee will be served from 14:30 to 15:00. The event will be held in in person at UNESCO Headquarters, Paris,  with live webcast available.


This event supports the UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science (2021) and aligns with the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development (2024–2033).
