To address challenges and foster a coordinated and impactful approach, the IPSN Secretariat is proposing a global genomics strategy workshop to bring together key stakeholders with the objectives laid out below.

 Workshop objectives:

• Discussing gaps in Global Data Architecture: Addressing existing gaps in interoperability, equity, accessibility and data sharing to ensure robust and inclusive global genomics surveillance system.
• Developing a Global Genomics Strategy Roadmap: Establishing a clear and actionable plan to guide global efforts in pathogen genomics surveillance, with short, medium-, and long-term milestones. 
• Mapping Focus Areas and Roles Across Global Stakeholders: Identifying key areas of focus for pathogen genomics and clarifying the roles of various stakeholders, including 
governments, international organisations, research institutions, and the private sector.
