The objective of the UNSO ToT is to strengthen the capacity of troop-contributing countries (TCCs) by providing UN DPO training standards to ensure a common approach to the work of Military Staff Officers at Force and Sector HQ levels and within integrated entities in United Nations peace operations. The course begins the rollout of the newly revised UNSO STM after approval by the USG DPO for use by Member States in preparing military staff officers earmarked for UN peace operations. Participants are from Brazil, Canada, Ecuador, Germany, Guatemala, Jordan, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.
