In preparation for the review of SDG 3 – and its role in advancing sustainable development across the 2030 Agenda, the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs, Division for Sustainable Development Goals (UN-DESA) and the World Health Organization (WHO) and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), together with other partners, are organizing an Expert Group Meeting (EGM) in preparation for the 2025 High-level Political Forum (HLPF).
The objectives of the meeting will be to take stock of SDG 3 progress, explore the evidence and lessons learned, and to discuss recommendations to accelerate progress by 2030. The report of the expert group meeting will inform Member States' dialogue at the HLPF.
