Registration for NGOs in consultative status with ECOSOC for UN Conferences on Financing for Development

FfD4 -  Third session of the Preparatory Committee for the fourth International Conference on Financing for Development

The UN General Assembly, in its resolution 78/231, decided to convene a fourth Financing for Development Conference (FfD4) in 2025 to, inter alia, assess the progress made in the implementation of the Monterrey Consensus, the Doha Declaration and the Addis Ababa Action Agenda, identifying obstacles and constraints encountered in the achievement of the goals and objectives agreed therein, as well as actions and initiatives to overcome these constraints, and to address new and emerging issues, including in the context of the urgent need to accelerate the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals and to support reform of the international financial architecture.

In accordance with resolution A/RES/78/231, an intergovernmental Preparatory Committee has been established to handle the organizational, procedural, and substantive preparations for the upcoming Financing for Development Conference (FfD4) in 2025.

The First session of the Preparatory Committee for the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development was held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 22 to 26 July 2024.

The Second session of the Preparatory Committee for the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development was held in New York, USA, from 3 to 6 December 2024.

The Third session of the Preparatory Committee for the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development will be held in New York, USA, from 10 to 14 February 2025. 

The PrepCom will close with a wrap-up of the multi-stakeholder round tables, focusing on “Lessons for the fourth International Conference on Financing for Development” to be held in July 2025.

This registration portal is for representatives from non-governmental organizations in consultative status with ECOSOC ONLY.

Please note:

* Participants must register as individuals through this INDICO portal by using their login credentials that can be obtained by clicking on the button at the bottom of the landing page indicated by "Register now". Bulk registrations by Conference Focal Points are not permitted by the system. Please find the user guide on creating an account here

* Specially-accredited entities that are NOT in consultative status with ECOSOC should register by clicking here

*Each Organization will be able to register two (2) representatives for in-person participation. If more than two representatives are registered under an organization, the Secretariat will approve registrations on a first-come, first-served basis.

* Registration does not guarantee participation. You will receive an approval letter from the Secretariat confirming your in-person participation if your registration is approved.

Please note that hybrid participation will not be accommodated. However, if you are unable to attend in person, you will be able to follow the proceedings via UN Web TV
