In a joint collaboration the World Food Forum (WFF) and the Food and Agriculture Organization Liaison Office in Geneva (LOG) will organize a "WFF Thematic Youth Assembly on Supporting Women and Girls in Decent Rural Employment" in technical cooperation with the International Labour Organization (ILO).
Participate and engage in the Thematic Youth Assembly, where you will be able to provide insight, ideas, recommendations, and action steps towards supporting and empowering youth, women and girls in securing sustainable rural employment opportunities, leading to improved livelihoods and economic inclusion.
Objectives:

Facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration among youth, experts, and policymakers on Rural Youth Employment

Empower women and girls in rural employment by ensuring equitable access to resources, education, and decision-making, improving working conditions, leveraging digital innovations, and fostering partnerships to drive inclusive and sustainable agrifood systems transformation.

Highlight the opportunities and unique contributions the Youth Assembly can offer to other UN agencies

Actionable Recommendations for Women and girls in Rural Employment: Clear, practical strategies and policies are developed to support and empower youth, women and girls in securing sustainable rural employment opportunities, leading to improved livelihoods and economic inclusion.

Integrating Knowledge Exchange and Collaboration on Rural Youth Employment into the WFF Gender Action Team will create a dynamic platform for youth, experts, and policymakers to share insights, experiences, and innovative solutions, fostering stronger collaboration and gender-responsive policy alignment to address challenges in rural youth employment.
