The FAO Liaison Office in Geneva and Agroscope are pleased to invite you to a joint briefing and interactive discussion on the results of assessments evaluating the agroecological status of agricultural and food systems in Switzerland and Côte d’Ivoire. These assessments are conducted using the Tool for Agroecology Performance Evaluation (TAPE), developed by FAO and its partners to comprehensively measure the multidimensional performance of agroecological systems across the environmental, social and economic dimensions of sustainability. Agroecology is a holistic and integrated approach that seeks to optimize the interactions between plants, animals, humans and the environment while also addressing the need for socially equitable food systems.
Agroscope will present the methodology employed in the assessments and outline potential next steps at the national level. The presentations will be followed by a discussion with participants to explore policy recommendations and strategies to promote TAPE’s broader application and adoption in national and international contexts.
We warmly invite you to join us in this important discussion and contribute to the growing movement towards more sustainable, inclusive and resilient agrifood systems.
