The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) is guided by a Programme Coordinating Board (PCB), which acts as the governing body on all programmatic issues concerning policy, strategy, finance, monitoring, and evaluation of UNAIDS.

The 55th PCB meeting will take place from 10 to 12 December 2024, consisting of both a decision-making segment and a thematic segment. The meeting will be held in person at the Serena Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya. For those unable to attend in person, limited online access via Zoom will be available for registered participants.

Field visits will be organized on Monday, December 9, 2024, ahead of the meeting. These field visits will offer delegates direct exposure to the HIV epidemic and response and an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the role of the Joint Programme, the various local challenges, and best practices contributing to the global AIDS response. Please refer to the concept note for the field visits to learn more about the details and areas addressed at each site.
