This event is being organized in collaboration with the FAO, in partnership with the Permanent Missions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Plurinational State of Bolivia.

The celebration of the International Year of Camelids 2024 highlights the crucial contributions of camelids to livelihoods, food security, and nutrition. The exhibition will showcase their roles in providing fiber, milk, meat, and supporting sustainable local economies. Camelids are essential to communities worldwide, producing fiber and food even in extreme climates. This event raises awareness of their role in building climate resilience, especially in mountainous and arid regions.

The event will take place from June 25 to June 28, 2024, opening on June 25 at 13:00pm (Palais de Nations, Bar Serpant, Building E)
