The UNECE Resource Management Week 2025, including the 16th session of the Expert Group on Resource Management (EGRM-16), will take place at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, 24-28 March 2025.
The event will gather global leaders, experts, and stakeholders to address the need for sustainable resource management amidst energy transitions and the increasing demand for critical minerals. Agenda highlights include:
- Keynote Sessions: Featuring renowned speakers discussing integrating sustainable practices in resource management.
- Workshops and Seminars: Focused on the United Nations Framework Classification for Resources (UNFC) and the United Nations Resource Management System (UNRMS).
- Critical Minerals and Energy Transition: Exploring the role of critical minerals in achieving sustainable energy transitions.
- Innovative Solutions: Showcasing technological advancements and best practices in resource management.
- International Centres of Excellence on Sustainable Resource Management: Highlighting the contributions and initiatives of these centres in promoting best practices and innovations in sustainable resource management worldwide.
- Networking Opportunities: Facilitating discussions and collaborations among industry leaders, policymakers, and academics.
The meeting will be held in-person only with simultaneous interpretation in English, French and Russian. Registration is mandatory for all participants.
