As part of WHO's proposal for a comprehensive framework to enhance global health emergency preparedness, response, and resilience (HEPR) at the 75th World Health Assembly in May 2022, Collaborative Surveillance emerged as a cornerstone component to strengthen surveillance capacities in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, the WHO's Health Emergencies Programme has transitioned from conceptualization to action – spearheading a dedicated effort to implement collaborative surveillance. In collaboration with national, regional, and global stakeholders and partners, we set out to transform global public health surveillance by aligning actors, setting priorities and global standards, and supporting key efforts to strengthen surveillance capacities and inform better decisions around epidemics, pandemics, and other health emergencies.
On Saturday 25 May, ahead of 77th World Health Assembly, we are pleased to invite you to an insightful evening that will bring together surveillance leaders, policymakers, implementing partners and investors to discuss the advancement collaborative surveillance.
