 Desertification and Drought Day 2024 will be hosted by the Government of G
 ermany on 17 June at the Bundeskunsthalle in Bonn. \n\nThe global observa
 nce event will also mark the 30th anniversary of UNCCD. It will bring toge
 ther leaders\, youth and prominent personalities from politics\, academia\
 , civil society\, the private sector\, entertainment and others to showcas
 e a strong ambition to be united for land\, ahead of the largest-ever UN c
 onference on land and drought in Riyadh\, Saudi Arabia in December 2024 (U
 NCCD COP16). \n\nThe global theme of Desertification and Drought Day 2024
 \, “United for Land. Our Legacy. Our Future.” emphasizes the transform
 ative power of sustainable land management as a key solution to today’s 
 challenges – a blueprint to a better future on land for all generations.
  The theme is a clarion call to a recharged global action on land restorat
