- to identify optimal strategies to engage women in maternal and perinatal health research, norms and standards development and implementation from the perspective of women themselves;
- to co-develop guiding principles for meaningful engagement with women in maternal and perinatal health research, norms and standards development and implementation;
- to co-identify specific WHO research, norms and standards activities (demonstration project) related to maternal and newborn health where strategies prioritized during this workshop and guiding principles could be put in practice;
