This pilot course aims to validate the draft content of the Reinforcement Training Package on Addressing Mis- and Disinformation in Peacekeeping Operations which has been developed through a collaborative effort involving Subject Matter Experts from UN Member States and UN Headquarters. The primary objective of this reinforcement training package is to provide Troop/Police Contributing Countries with standardized training materials, which can be incorporated into pre-deployment training, to support the mission's efforts in addressing mis- and disinformation, enhancing the integrity, operational capabilities, and resources of the military and police units, simultaneously ensuring the safety and morale of their personnel.
The target audience of this Pilot Course are Subject-Matter-Experts from UN Member States and UN Offices who possess sound expertise in cyber defence and strategic communication with a particular focus on identifying and assessing mis- and disinformation narratives at the tactical level.
