The aim of the pilot course is to confirm the learning outcomes, contents and methodology of the recently revised United Nations Formed Police Unit Command Staff course as a part of the new pre-deployment training package for United Nations Formed Police Units to proof the training material before rolling it out to Member States.
The aim of the training curriculum is to strengthen the capacity of Member States to deliver UN-required pre-deployment training for Police Officers nominated to join UN Peace Operations as FPUs Command staff. The course is thus designed to familiarize representatives of Police-Contributing Countries engaged in delivering UN pre-deployment training for national police personnel with the newly developed Command Staff training for United Nations Formed Police Units (FPU CSC 2023) in order to enable them to deliver the same materials in their respective national or regional contexts.
Target Audience of the course is the MSs’ trainers who will deliver this curriculum in their respective national or regional/international training institutions.
