As world leaders prepare to convene for the 28th Conference of the Parties to United Nations Climate Change Convention (COP28) to address ways to overcome the escalating climate crisis, the Presidencies of COP27 and COP28, in collaboration with the UN Climate Change High-Level Champions and United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), are organizing the Second Arab Regional Forum on Climate Finance in Dubai, hosted by DIFC.
The forum aims to cultivate collaborative efforts among governments, private sector players and international development organizations. The objective is to accelerate the mobilization of climate finance toward priority projects presented by Arab States. The forum will showcase a curated portfolio of bankable projects and those that support common climate goals, in the sectors of water, energy, transport, and biodiversity, all aimed at advancing climate action.
