On 1 August, the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD) reached its milestone 60th anniversary. Over the decades, the Institute has consistently produced cutting-edge research and analysis, sparked vigorous, evidence-based debates, and influenced global policy and practice on the social dimensions of development. By anticipating trends, envisioning alternatives and introducing innovations, UNRISD has made a meaningful impact, ensuring that social equity, inclusion and justice are central to the sustainable development agenda.
To celebrate this important occasion, UNRISD teamed up with UN Geneva Cultural Activities for a special event to embark on a transformative journey among art, social change, and visions for a more equitable world.
The Vernissage Ceremony will be held on Tuesday 10 October and will be opened by the Director-General of UN Geneva, Tatiana Valovaya and UNRISD Director Paul Ladd. Participants will enjoy an art tour, followed by a light lunch.
The public visit of Exhibition will continue until Friday 20 October.
