ABOUT
Achieving sexual and reproductive health and rights should be celebrated, but unfortunately, in many countries, health and bodily autonomy are human rights that are under attack, especially when it comes to comprehensive abortion care. Limiting access to sexual and reproductive health services directly harms women and girls. The following exhibition organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) will showcase photos from Nepal, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, and Moldova, taken by local female photographers. The photos present comprehensive abortion care as medical service that is safe, effective and which promotes the health and well-being of the women who have access to it. They convey a powerful message that abortion is healthcare.
The exhibition will take place from 25 to 30 September at the Door 40, 2nd floor, Building E, Palais des Nations.
The special event on the occasion of International Safe Abortion Day will take place on Thursday, 28 September 2023, at 13:00 (1:00 p.m.)
