The exhibition is part of the UN Outreach Programme on the Transatlantic Slave Trade and Slavery, and is curated by the Rijksmuseum, the Netherlands’ national museum of art and history.

This exhibition is centered on ten true stories from people who were involved in slavery in one way or another: people who profited from the system, people who were enslaved and those who raised their voices against slavery.

By delving into the past and providing a comprehensive narrative, we can better understand and address today’s societal challenges such as racism and other negative consequences of slavery.

Opening Ceremony on Tuesday, 20 June 1 p.m.
