Journey to Extremism in Africa: Pathways to Recruitment and Disengagement

UNDP is delighted to invite you to the policy dialogue and exhibition introducing UNDP’s new global study on Preventing Violent Extremism - Journey to Extremism in Africa: Pathways to Recruitment and Disengagement.

The event will take place on Wednesday, 24 May 2023, 10:00-11:00, at the Palais des Nations, conference room VII. The policy dialogue will accompany an exhibition featuring the journey to Violent Extremism in Africa, with powerful photos, quotes and key insights from some of the 2,000 people who took part in the study across eight African countries.

UNDP report series on Journey to Extremism researched the drivers of recruitment and disengagement. The dialogue will bring to the forefront the key findings of the Journey to Extremism and shed light on policy recommendations to implement preventative approaches across the national, sub-national and regional context.
