Registration period

The registration process will be open from Monday, 6 February until Friday, 3 March 2023 6 p.m., New York time.

Format

Delegations may choose to participate in the meeting in person, or online through MS Teams or by both means. The meeting will be held in English only. The meeting will be webcasted.

Important information for Member States

An official note verbale issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or an accredited Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York or Vienna containing the Government’s official delegation to the meeting (including names, titles, email addresses and participation modality of the entire delegation) is required to register through Indico. Each delegate is required to attach a copy of the note verbale to her/his registration request in Indico.

An official letter, with letterhead and signed by the Head of the organization, with the details of the participants that shall attend the meeting (name, title/function, workplace, individual email address and participation modality) is required to register through Indico. Each delegate is required to attach a copy of the official letter to her/his registration request in Indico. 

In-person participation

The in-person meeting will be held in Boardroom D, VIC. The maximum seating capacity in the meeting room must not be exceeded. Seats will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of two persons per delegation and with priority given to the representatives of multi-stakeholders. While only two persons from each delegation can be present in the mentioned meeting room at any given time, the delegation can consist of more than two persons should they wish to alternate their presence at the meeting.

Online participation

Online participation will be conducted on Microsoft Teams with a maximum capacity of 1,000 links. Delegations are invited to communicate which delegates are nominated as online speakers in order to receive a speaker link. To ensure the optimal functioning of the platform, delegates without an online speaker role are requested to follow the session through live webcast.

Collection of badges

Participants may collect their conference badge at the Pass Office at Gate 1 of the Vienna International Center by presenting a valid photo ID from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Those delegates, who possess a valid Permanent Mission grounds pass may use it to enter the premises.
