This film is about a legendary match of chess between Anatoly Karpov and Viktor Korchnoi.
The clash of the outstanding chess players was first and foremost a duel of characters. A young genius, a child prodigy and idealist against hardened, obsessive and unpredictable fighter. A virtuoso game, the maximum psychological intensity and personal, human confrontation between two of the planet's strongest chess players.
