Please register for the 2022 Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction and its Preparatory Days including the Stakeholder Forum, the fifth Edition of the World Reconstruction Conference (WRC5), and the third Multi-Hazard Early Warning Conference (MHEWC-III). Registration closes on 5 May 2022.

The Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction is the main global forum to assess and discuss progress on the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction. The seventh session of the Global Platform (GP2022) will be organized by the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) from 23 to 28 May 2022, in Bali, Indonesia, hosted by the Government of Indonesia. The event will be co-chaired by the Government of Indonesia and UNDRR.

The seventh session of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (GP2022) will take place as an in-person event. Taking place in the new normal setting, the GP2022 is an inclusive event, with possibilities for broad and diverse participation. Further details on participation modalities will be made available as planning progresses. Anyone registering is asked to indicate whether they expect to take part in the meeting in-person.

Who can attend

Given the multi-stakeholder approach of the Global Platform, participants from the following groups are invited to register: Member States, Parliamentarians, Local Governments, United Nations system entities, Intergovernmental Organizations, Major Groups and other stakeholder groups.

On-site Registration and Badging

The on-site registration area will be open from 21 May 2022 to 27 May 2022. The opening hours for the registration area are as follows:

Security checks will be carried out at the conference centres each time you enter the venues. Participants may collect their security identification badges at the registration desks upon presentation of one of the following identification documents issued by a UN recognized country in Latin text:

  • Valid national passport or ID
  • Valid picture identification card

Photo badges must be worn at all times to gain access to the conference venues and meeting rooms.

GP2022 and COVID-19

UNDRR, as the convenor, and the Government of Indonesia, as the host of the GP2022, are closely monitoring the health situation and are implementing the necessary measures to ensure maximum safety for participants, in compliance with applicable regulations. Detailed information on applicable guidelines and procedures will be provided to registered participants as the context evolves.
