The Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea, United Nations Office of Legal Affairs, as the secretariat of the Regular Process for Global Reporting and Assessment of the State of the Marine Environment, including Socioeconomic Aspects, (Regular Process), solicits the nomination of experts to participate in a workshop to support the implementation of the fourth cycle of the Regular Process, including capacity-building components. Through a combination of lectures and interactive sessions, it will also strengthen regional capacity in ocean governance and on the science–policy interface. In addition, the workshop will raise awareness of the Regular Process and the World Ocean Assessments, while encouraging experts to contribute to the preparation of WOA IV. The draft agenda will be shared once available.
Nominees for the in-person Workshop must register through the respective form by 27 August 2026. The user guide for the Indico portal can be found here.
Selected participants will be notified in due course.
